How did you get into the industry?
After graduating college with a BA in fine arts- Sculpture/graphic design, I held a "regular" job for 6 months before stepping into the freelance world. I had a brief stint in the art department fabricating props and set decorating before I found my home in food styling. I love bringing my knowledge of food and skills as a sculptor/artist into every job!
What inspires you?
Traveling and seeing how other cultures experience and honor traditions in food and art. My creative friends and coworkers. Letting curiosity lead!

What do you like to do on the weekends?
I love going on biking and hiking adventures, hanging out with friends, going to concerts, getting complicated with kitchen experiments, and baking to name a few!
What is your favorite band or type of music?
Sylvan Esso, St. Vincent, Bon Iver, Prince, Taylor Swift, HAIM, Beck...it's all over the place!
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Work smarter, not harder.
What book, movie read/seen recently you would recommend and why?
Movie: Poor Things! - I have to see it again to take in all the details that I'm sure I missed. It was gorgeous and touching and thought provoking. Book: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. I read it twice I loved it so much. Well developed characters, beautiful writing.
Are you a traveler or a homebody? Why?
Traveler! I love always having a trip on the calendar to look forward to!
