How did you get into the industry?

Creativity runs in my family, and my mom—an art teacher—sparked my interest in design early on. That led me to earn a BFA in Graphic and Interactive Design at UW-Stout.

What inspires you?

Nature and animals. I am most at home when on a hike or mountain biking.

Fall Creek, WI

Favorite restaurant?

El Hornito's Wood Fired Pizza

What do you like to do on the weekends?

I love to mountain bike, hike, and play board games.

What is your favorite band or type of music?

Indie Alternative

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

Don't compare yourself to others (doom scroll on social). The times I’ve stepped away from Instagram and Facebook have been when I’ve been most creative and proud of my work.

What book, movie read/seen recently you would recommend and why?

An oldie but a goodie, The Alien Series, my fav is 'Aliens'. It’s a masterclass in suspense, atmosphere, and iconic creature design. And I am a sucker for anything sci-fi.

Are you a traveler or a homebody? Why?

Traveler! I try to take at least trip abroad per year. Recent years have included Vietnam, Peru, and Portugal.
